It doesn’t matter what line of business you’re in, stretching out common courtesy to current/prospective clients will always bag you a spotlight. Ofcourse, you have to assess the risk you’re putting yourself (and your business) into. For example, I’ve seen restaurants lose customers just because they had a sign “washrooms for paying customers”; on the flip side I’ve seen some gain customers because they allowed by-passers to use their washrooms.

And that my friend is the main reason why you should only use credit cards for deposits.
Never give cash or chques for deposits. I was saved by a credit card from a $7000 scam!

Why then have I not encountered such problems with all my other Visa? A limit to me, is a limit. You don’t go over it. If you’re constantly going to step over it, it’s more of a boundary. Even so, then I would say CIBC’s got boundary issues.

It’s not CIBC Visa that dictates Visa rules…it is owned by Visa Canada…they make the rules for all Visa’s…all Banks have to adhere to the rules & regulations by Visa Canada.
