I more or less ran out of ideas as to what to make for dinner tonight. With limited ingredients, I was totally bummed. Then, with inspiration from this Youtube video I came up with an idea.
I had store bought rice cake frozen for awhile without really knowing what to do with them so I used them as my main tteokbokki ingredients. They’re not the right shape but they’re the right ingredient. I boiled it, and then added soy sauce and one of my many left over spicy flavour packets from Shin Ramyun. I buy Shin Ramyun in bulk because their noodles are the best texture for customizing for a homemade ramen. However the spicy flavour packets are way too strong so I just keep them and store them for later. Such as this instance.
It’s hardly authentic or good looking but it was delicious and quick. The whole thing was done in less than 5 min.

I can’t wait to try this dish with proper ingredients!
