Since I haven’t purchased my patterns for the jacket I’m going to make for Agrias, I figured I get to work first on the pieces for the Dancer outfit.
I had gotten 3m of the pink crystal organza. Step 1 I ripped a full 3m piece of maybe 1/2m wide so I had the length I need for the shawl that she wears. Folding the rest in half length wise and then again width wise, I now had four overlapping pieces. Using a pair of sweat pants as the pattern (because sweat pants have the same shape as a pair of harem pants), I cut out the pieces and stitched them together. Super simple, 3 seams in total. If someone wants the pattern, let me know and I’ll make a printable one.
Unfortunately for me, I completely forgot to buy elastics. Meaning, while I had the pants made there was no way I can actually finish or wear them. >.<
Being the problem solver that I am (plus I can’t wait to try them on), I just tucked the top into the bikini bottom and looped a hair elastic on my ankles.
Don’t you just love my pose? lol. My kitchen lighting is unfortunate at best so the reflective/shimmery organza looks rather like a plastic bag. -_-’
That being said, because this is such a simple outfit, I am about 30% done. Next pieces, the gold bikini, red butt cover (or whatever they are called) and all the gold coin trim. And that should be it for sewing. Then I just need all the accessories: belt, necklace, dagger, wig.
… and weight loss.
